What is included in the Little Passports Early Explorers kits?

The Early Explorers journey begins with the introductory kit. You will get an awesome suitcase packed with items to begin your traveling journey.

What is included in the Little Passports Early Explorers kits

Here is what you get with the Early Explorers introductory kit.

  • A suitcase
  • A luggage tag
  • Activity booklet and stickers
  • Jigsaw puzzle of the world
  • Cardboard characters pop-out play set
  • World map poster

Throughout the subscription, you will get more activity booklets, stickers to decorate the map and suitcase, and other amazing souvenirs.

Let’s explore each item in the introductory kit in detail.

The suitcase

What is included in the Little Passports Early Explorers kits

I like the design of this vintage-looking suitcase. All of the contents of the kit are inside the suitcase, which I like because it makes it easy to keep all of the materials in one place.

This is the only suitcase you get with the Early Explorers subscription box. It is big enough to keep items from future kits all in one place.

And just to add more to the fun, your child can decorate their suitcase with the stickers provided in every kit!

Passport booklet and stickers

Little Passports Early Explorers Booklet

The passport booklet introduces your child to the seven continents. The first page of this passport has a great introduction to the Early Explorers activities and what to expect from the rest of the boxes in this subscription.

I like how this introduction makes it super exciting to begin learning about the world and how Mia, Toby, and Max will “write us a letter every month” to continue our journey.

Some of the activities in this passport booklet include:

  • An introduction to the seasons in various countries.
  • Coloring the Earth.
  • Completing patterns.
  • Mazes.
  • Puzzles.

Some of these activities can be challenging for a 3-year-old, but older kids can probably go through each activity quickly.

There is a sticker sheet that is used to complete some activities in the booklet, and another sticker sheet to decorate the suitcase.

My daughter loves stickers and she had a great time putting stickers on the suitcase. That kept her very entertained!

Jigsaw puzzle of the world

Little Passports Early Explorers Jigsaw Puzzle Set

This is another great item that introduces children to the discoveries in the world. There are a total of 24 puzzle pieces and one World Discovery Guide.

Once you complete the puzzle, your child will learn about the major discoveries in each continent such as the Maya Ruins, King Tut’s Tomb, the Inca Ruins, and a frozen mammoth!

The guide will help your child put together the puzzle if it is too challenging, but overall it is a great way to help your child improve their critical thinking skills as they manage to put the right pieces together.

Cardboard characters pop-out play set

Little Passports Early Explorers Character Pop-out set

We had a lot of fun playing with the pop-out play set. The set includes three sheets of characters, animals, landmarks, and other items found around the world.

You simply pop out the characters and objects from each sheet and match them with their base so they stand.

This is a great and simple open-ended activity that your child can do as they explore the world in Early Explorers subscription boxes.

This set also comes with a backdrop that your child can use with the pop-out play set.

World map poster

Little Passports Early Explorers World Map

The World Map poster is very colorful and easy for your kids to understand, and it can be used with future subscription kits in the Early Explorers category.

As your child explores the food, traditions, animals, and discoveries around the world, they will add stickers to the map as they move from kit to kit.

But besides using the map with every Early Explorers subscription box, we talk about places related to our lives like “Where did dad grow up” or “In which continent is Guatemala located?”

We are planning on taping this World map on the wall so my daughter marks all the places she learns about through the kits or places we actually visit.

What I like about Little Passports

I am super satisfied with the quality and mission of Little Passports. Here is what stands out the most:

Great way to bond

This kit is more than a way to keep your child entertained. The biggest benefit of Little Passports subscription boxes is that it offers a great opportunity to connect with your child.

You and your child will have fun learning about the world, animals, and traditions together. It can also spark a new desire to learn more about a certain place or country.

Great screen-free activities

I know technology is around us and the TV is a way to absorb information. But studies show that screen-free activities offer more developmental benefits to children.

We like to take Little Passports to the park or camping and this gives us another opportunity to bond as we complete each activity together.

New kits every month

You don’t have to worry about shopping or going to the store to buy new toys. You will get a new subscription box with a different theme every month until you cancel (don’t do that!).

Cool souvenirs

You will get some cool souvenirs with every kit. This keeps the fun going and we truly look forward to getting new items!

The World map

We don’t plan on using the map just for the Early Explorers activities. We plan on setting it up on the wall where it’s easily accessible and place stickers of places we’ve visited or plan to visit.

Things to consider

The only thing to consider is the price. If you are on the monthly plan, you can be spending quite a bit of money.

But you can save a good amount of money with the 12-month subscription, so don’t forget to use our link to save 50% on your 12-month plan.

My final verdict

I HIGHLY recommend Little Passports!

We don’t travel often, especially to other countries. Overall I think this is a great way to introduce your child to the food, natural wonders, and people in other countries.

The activities provided will help you and your child to learn together as you both explore the world.

And as a reminder, make sure to use my special Little Passports link to save 50% on a 12-month subscription.
